Who is Flanders Offshore Racing ?

Flanders Offshore Racing is founded 2006 as the racing devision of BMC (Brugge Marine Center). Primary F.O.R is focussing on professional offshore racing participating various boat racing circuits every year, where as the famous Powerboat P1 competition. F.O.R has won the Grand Prix of Italy in 2006 and finalized Powerboat P1 with a very respected 4th place overall.

Next to professional racing, F.O.R. is prepared for individually and exclusively planned VIP arrangements and event excursions to promote the thrill of offshore racing towards a wider audience including VIP company events and other occasions. FOR/BMC wins the 4th edition of the Belgian Offshore Challenge!

AW2_6430.jpgThe 4th edition of the Belgian Offshore Challenge took place this Sunday 21st of September in Zeebrugge. All ingredients were present to make it a smashing venue. Sunshine, nautic reporters armed with super cameras, friendly and most helpful police men,Power Rescue Team and last but not least the enthusiastic competitors.

FOR races BOC

BMC is working day and night in order to finish the last preparations on a brand new OSPREY CONDOR OPEN. This super sleek fast RIB will be propelled by twin V8 F350 Yamaha outboards. No need to say : these superfast engines can propel this rib at speeds between 60kn and 75 kn!

FOR wins RED SEA RALLY in Egypt together with D'ieteren sport

siegerehrung_lowres.jpg After close call preperations it seems that we only would have 1 rib so we had to joined forces with D'Iereren sport. Instead 2 Belgian teams we had now 1 big team with the same goal... Take the titel from last winner in the supersportclass, the Greek TOPLINE 33.

Team FOR SEAREX and D'Ieteren sport had that potential with following pilots:
Kris Deraedt,  Axel Wijffels, Serge Henkens, Rob Klootwijk, Paul Smissaert, Sigfried Greve, Gino Passchier

For One at 65mph during Powerboat P1 Zeebrugge

for1_at_65mph.jpg For one ended 5th place in the first round of Powerboat P1, supersport class last Saturday at the coast of Blankenberge/Zeebrugge.

Their average (!) speed was arround 65mph in not too rough conditions with about 1m waves - usually driver Kris and throttleman Gino like it much more rough.
